Baby Rabbit Eating Hibiscus

I watched this young, baby, rabbit eat this final flower on the hibiscus. He ate the entire plant and this was the last piece. I have photos of the entire process that only took about five minutes.

The wildlife have been decimated over the centuries we have occupied this landscape. Just like the trees that were destroyed to make fields for corn and cotton, wildlife is living on the edge of extinction. There is something wrong with our system that promotes the exploitation of things defenseless. We plant and enjoy what turns out to be here when it is mature. Life is a race between being planted and being eaten—if you have the lucre to buy.

I remember watching that little fellow eat all the redish/pink color off that flower.

Yes, he ate the whole thing. And the whole plant.
