We have this Punxsutawney Phil, our famous groundhog, who comes out of his hole in the ground, on the same date in February 2, 2014, and if he sees his shadow that means we will have 6 more weeks of winter weather. And it usually works out that way. This poor guy get jerked around by a bunch of guys with cameras, pencils and paper who puts him in the news whether he wants to be in the news or not. (AP Photo).

Poor guy !
I saw one in Yellowstone Park. I shot him.
In driving to north of Germany, we got snow. Not easy driving for about 160 miles.
I am happy for you that driving in Germany did not cause you to wreck your new car.
Abe, I saw your comment on my blog and the fact that you had bought the Fuji X100s. I have the earlier X100, but the firmware upgrade made a big improvement to the AF speed. It's a great camera so you should love yours, I also have the X20; just love the Fuji X range. Like you I also have film, both SLR and rangefinders - a cupboard full.
Yes, It has been so cold and so much snow since I bought my camera that I have not really had a chance to try my camera out like I wanted to. I am really fascinated with the fixed focus camera and the lens. I have a kinds of ideas about what I want to try with the camera. It is a great camera and I spent more for it than I did for my former 3 Canon Rebels. I still use the Canon cameras and like them and what they do. I also have a great Tamron Piezo Drive lens and like it. I have had three Lumix point and shoot cameras and gave three of them away to my girls and they love them and I like them too. I still have the last Canon AE film camera. I cannot remember what the rest of th AE number or letter is. And it is in the office. But I like it and the lens is great. I hope you enjoy the camera you have as much as I like mine. I just can't wait until it warms up and I can get outside. With oxygen it is a little difficult sometimes but I am getting used to it.
Poor Phil. Although, this is a nice photo of him. :-) I suppose, with everyone bothering him, that is why he is sending up 6 more weeks of winter. Yikes!
He never seems to enjoy it. But then all of his cousins do. I am not sure where this one actually lives but it might be in a nature center or something like that so he is never alone.
