We have set a record for the total number of inches of snow this winter. The temperatures have been in the below zero range most of the month of January and into February. We just got some light snow overnight and this morning the cars are topped off. With the snow so deep it is hard to walk for our Jack Russell Terrier whose body drags in the snow and since he is a male, his parts drag in the snow. I can't even imagine what that feels like but I can think of some dirty jokes about it happening.

I have fed a lot of bird seed and even more seeds that everything eats so that the animals can find something to eat. Robins eat insects so they appreciate getting some suet cake shavings to see them through what would otherwise be a starving time. I also have a large container of water outside that has a thermostat in it so the water doesn't freeze.
This will be one winter we will remember forever, as long as our minds hold out. LOL
Really. I don't think we have had one like this unless it was that winter of 1976/77 when it took me forever to get home from work and Mattie Gray stayed overnight at a farmhouse on Wolf Creek Pike.
